Is big tobacco a threat to the nicotine vaping industry? This is an old and touchy question for many vaping advocates. Most assume that at some point, tobacco companies acted deliberately to thwart vaping's rise. Yet today, big tobacco is positioned to drive the future of vaping. The question: Is there room for both?
Joining us today for part two of our interview is Jonathan Fell. For over 30 years, he's covered the tobacco industry in his role as a financial analyst for tobacco stocks.
Produced in partnership with GFN.TV. Part 1 of our interview with Jonathan Fell can be found here: https://youtu.be/VNnO5sN7bik, or look for it on the GFN.TV YouTube channel.

Could the war on vaping in the U.S. finally take a turn in favor of tobacco harm reduction? It’s a legitimate question even though the cause has suffered major losses, such as the California flavor ban.
Joining us today to help answer this question is Dimitris Agrafiotis, a.k.a. the VapinGreek. He’s a global advocate for vaping, former executive director of the Tennessee Smoke Free Association, and one of the most well-known advocates in the world of vaping.

Earlier this week, fans of Tim Pool and his live YouTube show Timcast IRL may have been shocked when a conversation about obesity and the food pyramid veered into a discussion about vaping that amplified almost every anti-vaping myth and stereotype pushed by public health.
It was an astonishing amount of misinformation.
Joining us today to unpack the Timcast vaping debacle is Dimitris Agrafiotis a.k.a. the VapinGreek. He’s a global advocate for vaping and the former executive director of the Tennessee Smoke Free Association.

Last night on @Timcast @TaylerUSA argued that #vaping is worse than smoking. Hear CDC, FDA, and Bloomberg lies, including fake lung disease #EVALI in these 6.5mins. It was a pile-on. Includes: @IanCrossland @Lukewearechange. Thanks @philthatremains for your common sense.

On Monday, the Reagan-Udall Foundation released its report evaluating the FDA’s tobacco program, and its findings are remarkable, if not shocking. The expert panel cited numerous examples where the agency lacked sufficient strategic planning, useful and timely guidance, and internal leadership on critical issues, such as finding a balance between science and policy.
The Reagan-Udall panel goes as far as to say that FDA’s Center for Tobacco Products has “struggled to function as a regulator in part due to its own policy choices.”
Joining us today to discuss the report is Tony Abboud, Executive Director of the Vapor Technology Association.

It’s blatant, and some think shameful, the degree to which political interference and anti-vaping ideology have hijacked the FDA’s approval process for nicotine vaping products. Recent comments released by the Reagan-Udall Foundation in its review of the FDA and its Center for Tobacco Products prove as much.
Joining us today is Tony Abboud, the Executive Director at the Vapor Technology Association. We take a deep dive into the problems at FDA and CTP. We discuss the industry’s court challenge to California’s flavor ban and its economic impact. And we learn about VTA’s recommendation for dealing with the flood of disposables on the market.

Are e-cigarettes effective in helping smokers to quit? It’s one of the most hotly contested questions in the battle over vaping, but an answer may finally be in hand. According to the latest Cochrane Review of Electronic Cigarettes for Smoking Cessation, there is “high-certainty evidence” that nicotine vapes are more effective than traditional nicotine replacement therapies, such as nicotine patches and gum, in helping people to quit smoking.
Dr. Jamie Hartmann-Boyce, associate professor at the University of Oxford’s Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences and editor at Cochrane Tobacco Review Group, is joining us today to discuss the new evidence.

Public health’s insufferable war on vaping continues its path of destruction for U.S. consumers of nicotine vaping products. Fueled by the moral panic over teen vaping, voters in California passed a statewide flavor ban that’s certain to force some vapers back to smoking while denying current smokers easy access to safer nicotine products which could save lives.
Charles Gardner, executive director of INNCO, joins us to discuss the impact of the California flavor ban, the CDC’s deliberate exaggeration of youth vaping rates, and the shocking revelations from the Reagan-Udall Foundation’s review of the FDA’s PMTA decision-making process.
